Education Print

J2 Business Systems provides Education Print for K-12 districts, private schools, and colleges and universities in Washington and Oregon: HP and Fujifilm devices, badge-release / follow-me print and HP Security Manager, and local service. The copier in the workroom is the machine. We sell it, we set the release and the print-security policy, and we keep service and OEM supplies on one local program.

District offices, school workrooms, and campus copy rooms run packets, forms, and staff copies through one or two machines. Most sites lock down the PCs and leave the copier open. A job sitting in the tray is a problem. We sell the HP and Fujifilm fleet those offices actually run, we set badge-release / follow-me print so a job does not sit in the tray, and we put HP Security Manager on the HP devices when you want one print-security policy. The fleet
Office copiers and desktop printers. HP and Fujifilm. Quote the models on the floor, or a replacement, and put them on a lease and a service contract when that fits. HP and Fujifilm both get the same local sales, OEM supplies, and factory-trained service.
HP Scanjet (scan only)
HP Scanjet is a standalone HP scanner for workroom document scanning when a school or campus does not need print on that box; copiers and MFPs still do the print side. J2 sells and services them from the Vancouver shop, same HP sales and service as the rest of the HP line.
Badge-release / follow-me print
Staff send the job, walk to the machine, and release it with a badge (or a PIN). Pages are not sitting in the output tray for the next person to read. We set that up on the devices. The longer Security Manager write-up is on HP print security.
HP Security Manager
We sell it, we configure it, and we service it. One policy on the HP fleet: device settings, certificates, firmware checks, a compliance report. Instant-On when a new HP device comes on the network. We audit the printer network first so you can see what is open before you buy the software. We are authorized, trained HP print security specialists.
Wolf on the printer
HP Enterprise and Managed devices check their own firmware and can reboot clean. Security Manager is the software that keeps that policy the same on every HP machine. We sell those printers too.
Service contracts and supplies
Factory-trained technicians. On-site or carry-in at the Vancouver shop. Genuine HP and Fujifilm toner and parts on the contract. Optional paper is 20 lb bond only — letter, legal, and ledger. Service contracts.
Managed print
One local conversation for the visits, the OEM supplies, and the fleet — not a national queue. Where it fits, we use MPS Monitor so meters read themselves, toner can ship before the office runs out, and a service call can open itself when the machine reports a fault. Managed print services.
Plotters, only if a CTE, art, or campus shop needs one
Side note, not the lead. HP DesignJet and PageWide first, then Canon plotters only. We do not sell Canon office copiers. The office fleet is the job on this page. HP large format printing.

What we do not do

We are the copier, printer, and printer-security shop. We are not a school.

We do not offer curriculum, tutoring, or education services.

We do not manage student records, an SIS, or an LMS.

We do not audit your whole IT network. We do audit the printers.

We do not design offices, and we do not print plans. Plan printing stays with J2 Blueprint Supply Co.

We do not sell Canon office copiers.

Who it is for

K-12 districts, private schools, and colleges and universities in Washington and Oregon that need the workroom machine to stay up, and that cannot leave a copier wide open on the network. One site or a small fleet. How it works

1. Tell us the models on the floor, or the rooms you want to equip.

2. We quote the machines (HP and Fujifilm), badge-release / follow-me print and Security Manager where it fits, and the service program.

3. We install, we write the print-security policy with you on the HP fleet, and we keep the visits and OEM supplies running.
