Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Contact and company details (name, title, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses)
  • Equipment, service, lease, and support records
  • Account and payment-related information needed for sales and service (card data is handled by processors where used)
  • Website and communications data
  • Mobile numbers you provide when you opt in to text messages from J2

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Sell, deliver, install, and service equipment and supplies
  • Manage contracts, warranties, meters, and support tickets
  • Send transactional notices (quotes, orders, service scheduling, invoices)

We do not sell your contact information for marketing

J2 does not sell, rent, or trade customer personal contact information to third parties for their marketing, and we do not sell customer lists.

Sharing with manufacturers when equipment is sold

When you buy print or office equipment through J2 Business Systems, we may be required to share certain customer and equipment information with the manufacturer (for example HP, Fujifilm, or Canon) for purposes such as product registration, warranty, rebate/partner programs, and ongoing manufacturer support. That sharing is limited to what the manufacturer program needs for the equipment you purchased. It is not a sale of your data for unrelated marketing lists.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent

If you opt in to receive text messages from J2:

  • We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Manufacturer registration or warranty sharing described above does not include selling or transferring your SMS opt-in consent for marketing by others.
  • Message frequency varies. You may receive up to about 8 messages per month depending on service activity and programs you join.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Text messaging is optional and not a condition of purchasing equipment or service.
  • Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the phone/email above.

Other limited sharing

We may also share information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, payment, shipping, SMS/email delivery) acting for us
  • Financing or leasing partners when you choose financed equipment
  • Professional advisors under confidentiality
  • When required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • In a business transfer, with notice where required

Cookies, retention, choices, children, changes

Same practical rules as our print-shop policy: cookies for site function/security (and limited analytics if enabled); retain records as needed for contracts, warranties, accounting, and law; you may correct information, unsubscribe from marketing email, reply STOP to SMS, and email privacy requests to help@j2b.com. Services are for businesses and adults; we do not knowingly collect from children under 13. We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.
